I’ve known Diane since we were about 13, and she’s done three or four home loans and mortgage refinances for me because she’s just very, very motivated. Motivated might not even be a strong enough word. She takes the fluff out of everything and gets right to it. What makes Diane exceptional as a mortgage broker is that she’s not reactive but proactive. When title companies, escrow officers, or home inspectors start dragging their feet, she steps in and tells them she needs it by Tuesday, and if they can’t do it, she will find someone who can. She makes everyone follow our timeline instead of their own. I own ten homes and have bought many others, and with most other mortgage lenders I always hear them say they are just waiting for someone else. Diane would never say that. She’s always thinking ahead about every part of the home buying process rather than just taking things step by step and wasting time. Recently she even chose to do a more complicated mortgage loan just because it would get me a better interest rate, taking on extra work just to help me out. When I was selling two houses and buying one, she gave me great advice about what the real estate agent should do on homes she wasn’t even handling. The sense of trust is huge when you’re sharing your personal financial information, and I know she is always looking out for me and guiding me in the right direction every time.

As a first-time homebuyer and the only one in my family to now own a home, I was pretty overwhelmed with the whole process. Diane was fantastic! As my mortgage broker, she basically shepherded me along the way and was extremely patient through all the ups and downs. My email skills aren't that great and I tend to miss things, but she stayed on top of everything with the loan and mortgage paperwork without being pestering. She'd reach out to let me know each step along the way and kept me on schedule when I was probably only loosely aware of timelines. What made the biggest difference was how accommodating she was when we hit some bumps. There were a couple of occasions where we might continue or we might stop, and she was just very understanding - said not to worry about her, she just wanted to make sure everything was taken care of. When she wasn't directly available, her assistant was ready for any questions. It honestly wouldn't have gone as smoothly without her, and I'll definitely be reaching out to her again when it's time to refinance.
